we made it after huge waits in transit and a sleep at the madrid airport!

ok so a 24 hour stop over not so much fun but oh well.

arrived in enidburgh which is a amazing place, beautiful old buildings and a castle perched upon the hill! althought the town has an odd smell of warm weetbix thanks to a brewery downwind it was very welcoming (thanks mostly to rachel who put us aussies up) a change from the bustling streets of south america.

the fringe festival was on (as well as the jazz festival and international festival)

so the streets were alive with performers and people. we tried to see a show everyday, but all you had to do was walk the streets to have a laugh or see a snipet of a show. we could not get away from the aussies though, will anderson the first night then another aussie comiedian claire hooper who did not speak through out the whole show but still made us laugh and then saw a melbourne band called morph play on the street, then caught up with them and the other aussies who where staying in rachels little one bedroom apartment at the speigletent (which i worked in at the melbourne festival) anyway it was great, lots of laughs, guiness, pints and dancing. great to be back in a place were english was spoken(even though i could not always understand the strong scottish accent)

a great city, would be good to visit again but a maybe a little too cold for kelly in winter time. . . . .

(i didnt like this entry so i am goin to try again)

Wow what a whirlwind!!! wide footpaths to walk on, castle on the hill side, people who speak english and a reunion of buddies from melbourne with Bell and Nay joining in on the festivities as well!!!!

what a culture shock, but so easy to slip back on in. Rach BEING VERY HOSPITABLE by letting us crash and make a mess of her once clean and tidy one bedroom apartment(7ppl altogether)

The buzz and vibe on the street was great, performers everywhere you look, and the smell on the street was one of warm weetbix(?)

Saw Will Anderson who made us laugh then another aussie comedian that night. Abi tucker from heart break high was performing some songs and some pints where had at the oz bar complete with surf boards and bundy, next day saw an aussie band ´Morph´ playing in the street, where are we again?¿?

Also visited the speigletent, more memories. a few nights on the pints already and some cheesy dancing in teh speigltent gardens with the 7 of us and the morph guys. feet got sore from walking around heaps and the dancing, my hat a bit of a hit.

this place would be quite cold if this is summer!!!!!

all these trendy fashionable ppl making me want to have fashionable clothes but a lighter backpack is what i need more.

A pint costing around 3 pounds which is equal to 9 dollars, trying to stick to some sort of budget.

way too many guys running around in skirts, kilts actually

a week whent way too fast, hopefully be back up here to explore the country side a bit more.

Many thanks go to the ever so kind Rach who had to put up with us smelly backpackers!!
