Hi guys, just visited lake titcaca which is the highest navigatable lake in the world at a mere 4,800 matres high, stayed over night with a local family who made us dress up in the local dress which was soo very very funny!!! and ate a whole load of potatoes. it is sooooo cold here at night, i am getting another cold, not much fun. also stopped over at the floating islands were about 2000 ppl live upon the reeds which they replace every week or so from the top, very interesting way of life, most of their money is from the tourists though. today is perus independance day where we saw the locals on the island celebrate by dressing in their colourful clothes and raise the flag and play funny trumpet things that i am sure were made from plumbers pipe. so many colourful beanies for sale, but alass i resisted for once, the alure of the men walking around knitting them in the street did not even pull me in. will upload photos soon they are just so funny!! well off to the coca muesum now, and maybe a few pisco sours to celebrate peru day. off to la paz in bolivia 2moro with sara the scottish girl. another country!! sals there which is good to know
