Being on the other side of the world does not make packing more enjoyable, despite the fact that I am not packing to go home.  Still, after my extraordinarilly late bedtime this morning I was back up in the afternoon to make my way over to the North Shore for one last visit to Brian and Mel before I head off around NZ. 

I had a great time over there, just socialising with a family and meeting Tom and his girlfriend who have said they will show me around Dunedin when I get down south, and then, after leaving unnecessary valuables behind, I was back into town to do my final washes and get set to go.  I was done at a reasonable hour, and managed to pack everything okay, then I was in bed for my last night in the city. 

I cannot wait to get going.
