I had the great privilege today to take local public transports to travel from Marrakech to Imlil, in the High Atlas montains. I travelled in a little van with three benches in it. When I got to the "bus station", the empty bus did not seem to be operational (the hood was open and three locals were passionately argueing in front of it, armed with a bucket of water). Nevertheless, a fourth local kindly invited me in as soon as he heard about my destination. Around 45 minutes later, we were ready to depart... The bus would indeed take off only when full. Patience is key. And, against all odds, the vehicle departed! Thanks probably to their fruitful discussion. We were at the time around twenty in the bus, including the driver...according to European standards, the bus was actually "packed". However, this did not prevent the driver from stopping regularly between Marrakech and Imlil to pick up additional passengers! My guess was we were around 30 at the end, although I was not able to look around me! Fantastic experience!
