Mom has wanted to do Spanish lessons for a while. I sort of wanted to do it but I was afraid it was going to be boring. You know with all the verbs and adverbs but more difficult. I really don't enjoy stuff like that. Conversational Spanish is more my thing.
So mom and I me decided to try out one Spanish lesson. Mom had be e-mailing back and forth with a lady who worked. The lady said we could try it for one day and see if we would want to do it. The thing mom wanted was a group lesson. It ended up being only me and my mom.
There were two parts to the lesson both two hours each. The first two hours was theory. All we did was write stuff down. It wasn't to exciting I almost fell asleep. I was doodling in my notebook for most of the time. Mom thought it was okay
The second part was the verbal. Now that was okay but a little to long. We only went over the alphabet. Plus the guy didn't speak any English at all. He was also funny. I guess I don't want to learn Spanish that much after all.
A few days ago we took a double-decker bus tour all around Arequipa on a city tour. It was four hours long. We were at the top at the front with no roof. It was fun. We went to a place where the made clothes and stuff from lamas and alpacas. We also went to some museums. The bus stopped at some lookouts. We went through some narrow streets and there were weirs so close to our heads that we had to duck. After the bus tour we invited our tour guide to go to dominos pizza. He told us that he lived near us.
Yesterday Sophia, Dad, and I went white water river rafting on the Chile river. Monique and James were too small so they couldn't come. It was really scary. We got stuck on huge rocks. It was like a teeter totter and we all almost fell out. Our guides name was Jose. The j is pronounced as a h. There were four people in a boat.
Jose came to dinner with us later that day. We tried guinea pig with him. Sophia and mom did not eat any guinea pig. I had a guinea pig liver and kidney. They serve the guinea pig whole with a head and it's finger nails.
