Thessaloniki was a fun rest stop on my way out of the country. It's quite the cosmopolitan city full of street side cafes and shopping - it's a bit surprising that I like it better than Athens. I could really blow some money here on clothes. I've always liked a city where you find groups sitting outside drinking coffee or cocktails day and night. That said, it makes it a bit hard for a filthy solo backpacker to meet people - everyone is already in big groups. Dorm rooms aren't as common in this part of the world so I have a room to myself, which also reduces the number of travelers I meet.

The train ride up from Athens was also nice. Got a good view of Mt. Olympus (and also got a bit of sleep).

In any case, I was only here briefly and leave on the 6:15AM train tomorrow morning to Sofia, the capitol of Bulgaria.

Nothing was truly pic-worthy here...just a quick entry to mark my few nights in T'niki.

That's Brent, **O.C.P.**, to you
I've just caught up after a long absence; what a wild ride. Your pictures are stunning. You have a great eye for photography. Btw, where can I get that awesome stripped shirt? Let me give you a couple updates from the home front. I've been ordained. Jenny and Gary are getting married on August 18th. As you've guessed, there's a connection; I'm officiating their wedding, in sha' Allah. From this point on, I only respond, to 'Colin Brent Harris, O.C.P.' or 'Ordained Clergy Person.' However, Perry has a point... 'Father Harris' has a nice ring to it, too.

Alter Boys
Father Harris is entirely too formal. It brings images of a very old priest who has fond thoughts of his alter boys.

Lee updated me on the wedding (and your status as O.C.P.) during one of her recent weekly updates. Very kewl all around.
