A big WOW for our 2 days in Fuji!!!! We arrived after a 6 hour train journey to the most wonderful setting - mount fuji herself from our bedroom window - amazing.
We were so tired the first night that we slept for about 11 hours - both very tired and a bit ill still.
2nd day - took a walk down to Oshino village which was very quaint and then caught the bus to Kawaguchico station where we then walked down to one of the fuji five lakes. We got some japanese lunch (chicken for Dee!). The weather brightened up and we hired a bike each and cycled around the lake - it was our own little lake district but with Mnt Fuji looking over us! Not a very tiring day but we think the high atmosphere and fresh air got to us as we were in bed early again. The Japanese ryoken we stayed at was amazing - David and his family were very welcoming.
A very deserved rest for us all.
