Tomorrow we have 65 miles with two 2,000 mile elevation climbs. Should be a hard day for some of the guys so hopefully the event tomorrow will cheer them up. We have some nice stuff planned for tomorrow too since it is Flag Day and Army's Birthday.
Great day today! Left the hotel around 7 behind the crazy riders that wanted to do the entire 85 miles. About 6 started at the beginning, including Brian (crazy man) and we followed behind them for the first 20 miles or so. Jeremy was pretty exhausted from all the driving yesterday, so Carl drove the Queen today. Amanda, Amanda's mom Marlee and one of the riders Andrew rode with us too. The BBQ that everyone else had last night apparently tore up some stomachs. The ride was pretty tough in the beginning but they did get a really nice downhill. A bull even crossed the road right in front of the riders at one point. Slightly terrifying. I want to avoid the hospital as much as possible for at least a few weeks. We followed the riders until about 10 and then sped ahead to the hotel. Thank goodness we did too because some of the riders sagged all the way to mile 47 and arrived only half an hour behind us. After sorting out the rooming list mess (I swear it changes everyday) the riders started coming in. I got to sneak away to my hotel room for a few hours and nap too which is awesome! We went to dinner at the Red Barn Restaurant next door which was pretty good. Had a buffalo's head mounted right above me...
