This morning we left Camp Richardson a little later than we planned (10 AM) because it snowed last night for a while and we wanted to make sure the roads were safe. After we loaded all the luggage up, we took off in the lead vehicle and headed to our first water stop. It dawned on me on the ride there that I think I have only seen the riders actually biking twice. Since I am constantly ahead of the riders, I'm always planning ahead and never really get to "see the fruits of my labor". It was a little discouraging, so I have decided to make a point to spend at least one day behind to see them.
We marked the lunch stop (after passing by it accidentally, whoops) and then carried on to the hotel. I have finally gotten in to the routine and I think it will only get better from here. I have nailed down my core questions (Free Wifi? Hot Tub? Elevator? Breakfast?) since I seem to get the same ones everyday. This hotel was pretty perfect as far as rider's needs which makes me a little worried for our future towns such as Austin, NV which is in the middle of no where. I had some interesting phone calls with the restaurant in town today trying to figure out dinner. He didn't know what a vegetarian is or how to hang up the phone...
The riders also met the Governor of Nevada and Miss Nevada while I attempted to watch more parts of the Lost finale and wait for them to arrive. There is no snow here and a good forecast for tomorrow, thankfully. Our first century comes up in only two days!
(No pictures today. I honestly felt pretty gross all day from my allergies/cold)
