Today was our second rest day since yesterday's ride was snowed out. Pretty relaxing day, but it does make me really not want to get on the road again tomorrow. It's nice being able to live somewhat out of a suitcase. State Farm had dinner for us at the Riva Grill which overlooked Lake Tahoe. Nice lunch and as always, the local agents were super friendly. We then went out on the Tahoe Queen, a large paddleboat that took us around the lake. I tried to brave the top deck as much as possible, but I only made it halfway before I had to go inside. Even though the top deck was freezing the view was well worth it. The boat was a little cheesy but hanging out with the riders made it fun. We came back to the hotel afterwards and that was when the snow really started coming down. It had been snowing off and on all day but a heavy snow started around 3PM. We had dinner down at the Beacon which was nearby and then I hung out in the lobby for awhile. The plan for tomorrow is to leave at 9 AM as long as the roads are okay. If they aren't any better by 11 we are going to have to cancel the ride for the day and drive on to Carson City. Even though the riders will be pissed since it will be their third day of not riding, at least it isn't our fault this time. I'm most worried right now though because no one can get a hold of Luke, who drives our trailer. He went to pick up his wife at the airport and no one has heard from him since. Hopefully someone can get a hold of him soon.
