Wow, I haven't been this tired in a long time. Today started at 3AM and we left for the airport. Really easy ride there and checking all the bags/bikes in wasn't too difficult. After about eight hours of traveling, we finally arrived in San Francisco! It has only reminded me how much I love cities. Soon after checking into the hotel, Matt and one of the other riders decided to brave the famous hills (or should I say vertical death?) that were right outside the hotel. I was pretty impressed they made it all the way up there. I was winded after only two hills and I was just walking haha. We had a quick staff meeting as well and I met a bunch of the other riders and staff. Then we went out to dinner at Mel;s Diner. There I talked to one of the riders, Rory who has been riding for over 20 years. He has done some pretty incredible stuff. For example, he biked around the world in only 8 months a few years back and is also working on a new prototype wheelchair/bike. I'm sure he will be just one of the many people I meet along the way with such incredible lives/stories. As for now though, it is time for some much needed sleep.
