Our first full day in Ljubljana didn't amount to much, we just walked around and saw the local sights, and just took it easy
The second day we decided to go for a short day trip out to some caves. Slovenia is apparently known worldwide for the cave systems that it has. We didn't go to the most impressive caves because they were to difficult to get to, but nonetheless the ones we did go to were far more impressive than I ever imagined. I couldn't believe the size of these caves, their was actually a small mountain (or that is what they called it) inside of the cave. The funny thing was that we almost had more fun playing around with our sick little cloaks than we had on the cave tour itself
The next day we went out to lake Bled, one of the most picteresqe places that I have seen so far. I have seen many postcards and photos of this place because it is a large lake with small island in the center with a church on it. It also has a large castle on the top of a mountain that I had not even known about. While we were there, we saw something the they have all over Europe but we have to try it out. During the summer time, they install tracks going down the ski slopes that you can ride toboggan like cars down. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into and I was truthfully very because I didn't think it could be very cool with the amount of little kids taking part in the riding. We decided to buy passes that allowed us to go down twice because it was much cheaper for the second ride and let me tell you...these thINGS SHOULD HAVE BEEN ILLEGAL. They went so damn fast I couldn't believe that we didn't have to sign some sort of waiver before going down. For 8 bucks, it was one of the best things we have done on a while.
