Well where to start with this one. So far, today has probably been the shittiest day that I have had here in Europe through my trip, but dont worry, I am as healthy as ever. It all started with a great idea to rent some scooters. So we set out early this morning to find the best deal on scooters and when we got their, we noticed that not only did they scooters for rent, but also, 4 wheelers and off road buggies. Now when trying to decide on what vehicle we would like to rent for the day, we reflected back on the map that we had been given the day before and noticed that many of the roads were not paved, but were actually listed as "dirt roads." Now, maybe its just that we are ignorant young adults looking for a good time but we the last thing that we were concerned about was the danger or expense involved in what we were about to attempt to do, go offroading with 6500 dollar machines. Let me just start off before my mom shits her pants and say that we DID and are very thankful that we got the 10 dollar insurance that they offered. So we left the rental place and went directly to where to dirt roads started and found exactly what we were looking for.

Although the fun only lasted for about 2 hours it was one of the funnest times I've had in my life. Powerful off road dune buggies with the entire road to ourselves, able to go as fast and cause as much dust and noise as we wished. Until...I went a little to fast over a rock and OUR TIRE CAME OFF!!! As soon as I got out, I had sudden "Dodge Dakota into a building" flashback that I'm sure some of you remember because we were so far out in the middle of nowhere and really thought we had no options.

We decided that Tyler and I would leave Monte and Eric behind and head to the nearest town to call for help. After about 2 hours and one of the longest and most frustrating conversations that didnt involve a single word of English that I have ever had we were finally able to get ahold of the people from the rental shop. When we got back to the broken down vehicle, the guy went absolutely nuts and started yelling at everybody about how stupid we were for being where we were and what really got him going was when he said, "What the hell does this look like, an off road vehicle?" and one of us said, "Well actually sir, I think thats exactly what it is. That alone was almost worth the financial responsibility that I was about to undergo.

Before we left earlier that morning, the guy explained to us what the insurance covered and in his description said that anything can happen, theft, total the vehicle, anything and after we had gotten back to the shop he tried to tell me that the insurance that he had explained to us and that we had purchased now no longer covered anything under the chassie, meaning what I had broken. At this point, I didnt know whether to get pissed off to to go and cancel the card that I had given the guy as payment. AND, on top of that, he tried to tell me that the company in which he bought the parts from closed that day and would remain closed for the following two weeks. He tried to tell me that I would possibly be responsible for the 55 euros a day for the next 14 days. I was starting to get very annoyed and Tyler and I told him that their was no damn was that he was going to even get close to that much money and that I would just deny payment and he wouldnt end up getting shit because all of his claims were false and I was pretty sure that I could prove all of this. So to make a song story short, after a little negotiating and calling him out on the fact that he was trying to illegaly take my money, he let me get out of the door for a little over 300 euros which I wasnt too mad about paying because I did quite a bit of damage. Cheers!!!
