Well our train from Florence to Balogna was a very short trip but that doesn't necessarily mean that things are going to work out well upon arrival. As soon as we got off of the train, we headed to bus stop that we were directed to head to in our directions. Eric and I were looking at the but times for the next bus and a guy asked where we wanted to go and so we told him and he said that their was absolutely no point in riding the bus at all and that we could just walk there. Because he was very confident and even a little pushy, he actually walked led us for the first couple of hundred feet, we listened to him. His directions were just head down one street for about a quarter mile and take a left at the light and then a couple of hundred meters and we are there. HOLY SHIT!!! If I ever run into that guy again, Im going to shove my 1 iron up his ass. We ended up walking about 2 and half miles in 100 degree heat with our backpacks. We ended up catching a taxi that we luckily found but we ended up only having another 5 blocks or so to get to our hotel. But, the hotel that we had reservations at and that ended up costing us about 18 euros each, was a 350 Euro room that we somehow got incredibly cheap.

We new coming into Bologna that it was the culinary capital of Italy so thats all I need to know to know that Im going to like the place. Our one day in Balogna turned out to be a Sunday so most of everything was closed but we weren't deterred because although most shops are close, their are many of resteraunts and eateries that remain open. I have found one of my new favorite dishes here in Italy, Speggethi carbonara, and whenever Im ordering my food it is so damn hard for me to order anything other than that. I also have found a love for bruschetta pormodoro, possibly because I love bread, tomatoes, olive oil and a selection of spices all in one, but I guess it could be something else as well.
