Carcassonne

Well Carcassonne ended up being more fun and interesting than I thought it would be. Although being very touristy, almost like a European fairytale land, we enjoyed our stay but were also ready to leave after about 4 hours. We took a guided tour of the city but it was one of the worst ever because the French guy hardly spoke English and what English he did know was impossible to understand because of his thick accent. We didn't really do much in Carcassonne other than walk around after that but we had a good time.
And, without us knowing until that night, the tour de France was to end their stage in Carcossonne later that night after we had left and apparently it was a huge day because July 14th is also Bastille day or the day that the French celebrate their independence. Before we caught our train at 11 in the morning to Montpellier, we walked through a wine tasting market and almost got a but before breakfast so that was interesting.
