Madrid was great. Coming into Spain, I expected that I was going to love Barcelona the most because of what I had heard from others and not like Madrid much but it turned out being almost the exact opposite. Madrid is filled whith wonderful architecture, fountains and parks everywhere. The first day we basically just walked around and checked out the parks and the city. We wanted to go to the museums but we dicided we would go the next day, Tuesday. The next day we woke up nice and early for a full day of art but all the museums in the city were closed!!! The Prado and the second largest collection of art in all of europe was closed. Eric was pissed but I wasnt so mad because I knew that we could come back later in July and I wanted to spend some time outside. We did however end up going to the Reinnie Sophia for a huge collection of modern art and the biggest collection of Picasso paintings. It was fun, but after a couple of hours we dicided to head outside for some drinks.
