It was funny because when we were in Interlaken and talked to people that had been to Gimmelwald, they told us that it was even more beatiful than interlaken and we thought that they were crazy and that would be impossible. Welp, I was wrong. This place is absolutely amazing. I cant even put into words how stunning the views are here. We had to take a bus and a cable car to get here but it was worth it. This town is very small, it is about a half an hour hike uphill to the next town Murren if you want any groceries. Today we got here around noon and left for a hike. The hikes here are quite intense and after about 2 hours of walking straight uphill and then back down hill, I was ready for a power nap. Tomorrow we are headed for Lugano, Switzerland which is supposed to be a nice resort town on a lake almost on the Italy/Switzerland border. Its also supposed to be fairly warm there so I am really looking forward to that. Especially after today when we headed out on our hike and before we knew it we were seeing snow on the ground.

Great picture of Gimmelwald. Post card material. Do you like hiking up hill or down hill the best. Your legs will be in great shape. They may have to be strong to hold up the beer belly.
