. We came back to our hotel to make ourselves a store bought lunch and it couldnt have been beaten. We bought a baggauete, two different meats and two different cheeses, some tomatoes, olives, juice and a desert pastry. All for 6 euros. Mighty fine. That night we went out to explore the city nightlife and check out some of the beer halls that I had listed in one of my books. The first beer hall didnt work out very well, we were the youngest people in there be 20 years, so we left but not after a couple of good German beers. We went to a couple others, all with different atmospheres and age ranges and we ended up having a great time. We ended the night with a doner kebab. I couldnt imagine a better ending to a night out on the town. Well, we just checked out of our hotel and are going to be headed to the train station in just a couple of minutes and then we are off to Bremen and then Amsterdam tomorrow. I hope you all have a great Memorial day weekend and stay safe. Dont jump off any roofs at 4 in the morning. Love, Ryan.
Cologne has turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I wasnt expecting much, we had only booked a place to stay here because it was on the way to where we are headed and we found cheap accommodations. Our first night in town, we didnt do much. We were both worn out from the trip over so we decided to just make an early night of it and enjoyed watching some of the only tv we have for the past 2 weeks. Yesterday morning we set out to explore the city and discovered a huge shopping center. It is an outdoor mall and reminds me of what I would expect Tokyo to look like except without all of the neon lighting. I walked away today a little pissed off because we looked every where for USA world cup shirts and they have NOTHING here. The world cup is HERE in 2 weeks and they have a ton of stuff from every single country except for the U.S. And then to make matters worse, I end up finding something and it doesnt fit me, they only have a medium that will fit shit head Eric. But all in all, it ended well
