Well yesterday we spent the day in Antwerp, Belguim. It was not quite what I expected on arrival. We had to walk about a mile to our b and b from the train station and no joke, we passed about 20 jewelers and they were all right next to each other, selling the same exact thing, for the same exact price. We ended up staying in a bed and breakfast with a gay couple who were very nice and accommadating to us. They actually drove us to the train station this morning and let us use their laptops. Last night they had a huge celebration at the local hangout and we hung out there talking to the locals and drinking trappist (monk) beer. This stuff is so good but it will knock you flat. They are all between 8 and 11% alcohol and 6 of those will put you on your ass. But it was very fun. This morning we left for Cologne (Köln), Germany and it took us 4 trains to get here. We could have done it in two, but the weather is horrible and we this way it didnt cost us a penny. Tonight I think we are going to find us a beer hall for some food and drinks. The weather is supposed to pick up tomorrow and be fairly nice for the remainder of the week so I am really looking forward to that. From here, we have about the next two weeks planned out. We leave Cologne on Sunday for one night in Bremen, Germany and then from there we go to Amsterdam for a couple of days. After the Netherlands we are heading down to Switzerland for a week of hiking and relaxation, it should be great. I am really thinking about going hang gliding while I am there. I have always wanted to hang glide and I cant think of a better setting than the Swiss alps.
