Flew to Thunder Bay on Friday from Ottawa via TO through a Thunderstorm in TO on takeoff the Thunder Clouds were at least 20,000 feet and lightening was happening all around the plane. Too bad I didn't have my camera in the seat otherwise I could have had some "neat" pictures courtesy of West Jet. Late arriving in Tbay which is where the Thunder and Lightening should have been. Luckily Kristen waited up. Not I caught her as she was on her way to a Grad Party. Was interesting to be staying in a "newly moved" into Student/newly working person, on my own Apartment. Alan you must really get some new furniture because Kristen really, really, needs your old stuff. That futon is a real killer I bet they don't let prisoners use those. However, I did appreciate the free room and access to the internet. Saw Mom on Saturday for most of the day. She did look real good. Then Kristen and I went our for dinner.
Clouds
On Sunday I went out to see Mom then picked up Kristen and I went for Brunch at "Joes" then out to the Hospital to see Mom to celebrate her birthday (June 8). She wanted a Strawberry Ice Cream Cake. No candles though because we would have needed a "fire permit". She looked good. Check out her Hawaiian look (in the pictures if I can figure out how to up-load them). Sunday evening Kristen and I went out to dinner then went "Home" to watch a movie and catch up on emails.On the 9th I was in the Hospital early to see Mom (she had been taken for tests and I didn't get to see her until close to 5:00 PM when they brought her back) and also for the Family conference. This was a bit of a horror show as they didn't really know how to work the tele-conferencing system. The long and the short of it is they will move Mom back to Kenora before the end of June.
Returned to Ottawa on 10th nothing spectacular happened on the return flight. Back to work. Boring. Next trip planned is in July to Winnipeg, Selkirk, Kenora and Dryden.
