The car trip was long (our longest of the trip), we got here around 630. Our campsite is right on Lake Huron, overlooking the Mackinac bridge, Mackinac island, and Lake Huron. For dinner we had some hotdogs and brats
. After we watched a majestic sunset at about 915pm (815 your time), on the waters of Lake Huron. The kids met some friends and played a pickup game of soccer with them out by the water. We are now topping off the evening with smores and great conversation around the campfire. No eventful poop stories or crazy shenanigans happned today (thankfully!) We need to get up early tomorrow for our big adventure at Mackinac island, so we are signing off. Thanks for reading, were at 540 views!

We left bright and early this morning to make our way across the upper peninsula to Mackinaw City. We made a coffee stop, a lunch stop at a very nice picnic area, and we stopped at possibly one of the most beautiful views of the lake (pictures provided), if you have ever heard of those commercials of the man talking about how beautiful Lake Michigan is, he is NOT exaggerating, it's true! We also stopped at Suzy's Pasty's(NOT a gentlemens club to anyones surprise). We got some delicious pasty's which are meat filled pastries, and some smoked trout which is famous up here in the upper peninsula. After Suzy's we headed to the campsite, Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping, which is just across from the upper peninsula.
