Hi friends,

We tried hard to write on the blog yesterday but we were so tired that we couldn't even keep our eyes open.  I was like a drunk...
We left Singapore an hour later than planned.  This was due to "high traffic" over Afghanistan and Pakistan!?!?!  Again we were pretty lucky because we traveled in World Traveler Class (British Airways) seats which is basically between Business Class and Economy.  We had plenty of room for our legs.
Roxy slept for three quarters of the trip and I slept for about half.  The plan was to sleep as much as possible to have energy to run around London all day Monday.  It didn't really work out that way.
We arrived in London approx 6:30am yesterday.  To be honest I was quite disappointed with the airport when comparing to Aussie, Singapore, etc airports.  Roxy says it's her worst airport she's been to.  The carpet was dirty, it smelt bad and the people were unfriendly.
Anyway we got here.  We tried to have a shower at the airport and we got told that they have one set of showers but they were being refurbished.  Our option was to go to Hilton and pay 20 pounds per person ($50 each) for a shower.  So after 2 days of traveling and no shower we made our way to our hotel.
Luckily we managed to check in at 9am.  We had a shower (communal shower - this is London people!).  This where the fun begins...
1. We saw the changing of the guards at Buckingham palace - the place was packed.
2. We took a bus tour through all the tourist attractions in central London by The Original London Bus Tour.  We saw Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Marble Arch, Hyde Park, Belgravia (where rich people live), Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Parliament, London Eye, etc.
3. We also did a 50 minute boat cruise of Thames river starting from Westminster Pier to London Bride and back.
4. Finally we went to Madame Tussuad where many famous people were made from wax.  They looked so real - it wasn't funny (see pictures).
So by the time we got back to our hotel room - we were just stuffed.
We managed to rest ok and will prepare to go to Romania today.
We will put more stuff on our trip from there.

Hope everybody is well.
