Today we went and saw Hoover Dam prior to setting out on the 4.5 hour journey to Loma Linda.  After packing up (struggling to fit all the stuff we bought in Las Vegas) we left our hotel by about 10am.  The journey to Hoover Dam was supposed to be an hour but it took almost 2 hours and the reason was stupid security check.  All they did was look at peoples faces and letting them through (I guess the good thing is that my unshaven face wasn’t too dodgy in their opinion :D).

When we got there, we enjoyed the dam structure.  The dam is on the border between Nevada and Arizona.  It’s quite remarkable having such a huge dam in the middle of the desert.  There were a lot of visitors and quite busy.

After stopping at a few places to take some photos we were on our way to Loma Linda (about 1.5 hours from LA).  The only eventful thing that happened (NOT) on the trip was a 45min standstill on the highway and by the time we got to the place where “something” happened we only saw about 5 highway patrol cars but all was cleared.  Needless to say that Roxy and Mattias slept through most of the trip.

We arrived to our friends place in Loma LInda around 5pm and after having some dinner we are crashing on the bed.

Our trip is coming to an end tomorrow night when we go back home.
