Soon after we were on our way to Yosemite National Park. It took us about an hour and a half to get there but we had a lot of "stops" (stops I requested to take photos). :-) It was good to see there are some trees around here. The scenery was great and we enjoy it. The waterfalls were so powerful that in some cases the mist was so widespread that people trying to see the waterfall would get drenched. Apparently May is the best time to visit as the snow is melting and there is a lot of water. There was still some snow/ice left over on the tips of the mountains. It was a bit cold but not too bad.
We stayed until around 3pm and then left toward Sacramento. There were additional "stops" on the way with final stop being a shopping centre in Sacramento. We wanted to visit an apple store to see if we can get an iPad for Roxy. Man - you should see the Apple stores here... it's like a full computer store with about 15-20 staff and about 30-40 customers (at the time). The sad news was that due to the demand for the iPad - they had nothing in store (not even 1). We'll also try in San Francisco - it's apparently their flagship store.
We arrived to our hotel around 7pm, had dinner and crashed. It was a long day but it was worth every minute of it.
Tomorrow should be much more relaxing.. :-)
