As per Roxy's custom we didn't pack until the morning of our departure... For some reason Roxy had a brilliant idea - to just take 1 suitcase meaning that I will have to carry it around... The things I do for my pregnant wife... :-)
We went to the Canberra airport around midday and we were off to Sydney around 1pm.  Once we arrived in Sydney we had to go by train to international terminal to check into our Jetstar flight to Denpasar, Bali.  I swear there had to be about 40 staff travelling on this flight but luckily we managed to get a place on the plane.  Once we went through the customs we noticed there were a lot of renovations happening on the airport and there was only 1 real place where you could buy food.  I hope it will be better when the renovations are complete.
Anyway, while waiting to board the plane I managed to get into Qantas Lounge to take some photos of our plane.
The boarding was delayed for about 15 minutes but then the plane didn't take off for another hour due to an "air conditioning problem".  Once we were on our way - everything was ok.  As you might/might not be aware - on Jetstar you need to buy everything onboard (including headphones, food, entertainment, etc.)
Roxy slept most of the way - IN MY LAP and I was busting to go the toilet.  Just before I burst I woke her up and flooded the plane toilet.  I am telling you - it was the best feeling all flight. :-)
After a 6 hour flight we arrived to Bali around 10:45pm local time.  Here we had to buy visas ($10USD per person for 7 days).  Then we went to a customs officer who looked at my passport, the he looked at Roxy and asked "Who is she!?!?!?!" - I thought it was pretty funny but Roxy was less than impressed. :-)
We then collected our baggage and went out through the main exit and there were seriously like 100 people waiting to pick certain passengers.  Among the chaos we found our resort driver and he drove us to The Dusun - where we are staying.
There are limited road rules, indicators are barely used, various speed limits and those annoying little motorbikes are EVERYWHERE.
Once we arrived to our villa - we were pleasantly surprised - it looked better than on their website photos!  See the attached photos to see what we mean.
By this time it was midnight and I wished my lovely wife a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY as on the 4th September 2005 we had our church wedding.
Then just after midnight we went to bed and slept like babies...
