Kathy and I left South Carolina on May 17,2009 , and drove up I-85 towards Advance,N.C. to the Thousands Trails Park called Forest Lake. We left at 8 a.m. and stopped at the N.C. rest area to eat breakfast and have coffee around 10 a.m..  McDonalds is MAD at us because we do not eat there anymore since we have our Rv. It was only 203 miles so it is an easy driving day and  we were all set up by 1 p.m..

Two of the Rv couples we met in South Carolina are here with us and our Olive Garden Rv friends are only 15 miles from us. We met Randy and Ursula at the Olive Gardens located in Salisbury,S.C. for lunch, they are at Bass Lake R v park which is a ROD & RPI park. It is a nice small park and the four of us went paddle boat riding on the lake.

We are going to meet Fran and Bob ( Hershey,Pa.Rv Freinds ) for lunch today since they live real close to Forest Lake. RPI confirmed our next reservation so we will leave here on Friday morning for ---------. You have to read our blog to find out where we will be.

pool
no the pool is not heated, was not even open yet lol, they said it would be ready for the holiday. Well the hills there are very mild. No big work out walking there. We sure did drive over some mountains coming to Ohio plus we went through 2 tunnels that was cool. We are at a RPI site here not bad but man are there children haven't seen so many in very long time. You can tell this is not a TT park.
Tell John hi and looking forward to seeing you in July.
Kathy
