After work
So Melissa and I wore our Salwar Kameezes to work today, and of course we happened to stroll in 15 minutes late. That really wasn't our fault though, since we were in the building on time, it was just a maze trying to find the actual room. It was embarrassing walking in, wearing totally different clothing, in the middle of class. We made an impression! Some guy asked to take our picture when we were eating lunch. I don't know if he thought our outfits were cool or funny, but I'm going to hope for cool... Two different Indian girls told us that they liked our outfits, but I definitely saw a lot of girls laughing in our direction. I don't know what that means! By the end of the day though, I was really getting into the salwar. I don't care what everyone else thinks of it, because they are much more comfy than collared shirts and work pants! I think I'll have 3 weeks worth of them by the end of my time in India! So if anyone wants one, I will have plenty to bring home. :)
Oh, and since I forgot before: Being stared at is not uncommon around here, it wasn't just our clothing today. When we were in Bangalore a man got hit by a rickshaw because he was looking at us so intensely! Four white girls are a hot commodity in India!

Individualism
I am happy you are gonna stick to wearing your salwar. By the way I am 100% sure that people were taking your picture cause you are 'cool.' Just like I thought the kids on leashes in Brasil were 'cool.'
