Today was our last 'water' day in Hawaii.

We started off at our favorite breakfast place, The Gazebo at Napili Bay.  We saw whales again and Myra was surprised by a waitress who squirted mustard at her (The 'mustard' was a yellow string in a squeeze bottle)We explored two new (to us) snorkel sites.

The first is Mile 14 beach.  This turned out to be a magnificent reef with deep channels between towering coral heads.  We were a little apprehensive as the search and rescue forces were on hand when we arrived.  They were searching for a missing snorkeler and had employed a helicopter and a jet ski in the search.  We went out anyway and had a great snorkel, although we were briefly concerned when we found a stray mask on the bottom in a coral canyon.  Fortunately there was no body near the mask!  When we returned to shore we talked with the firefighters and found out that the snorkeler had been located safe and sound.

Our second stop was Airport beach.  This was a wonderful spot with a broad beach and a grass lawn shaded by towering palm trees.  We were able to do two drift snorkels where we covered about a mile of reef just by remaining suspended above the reef.  Many familiar fish including a large porcupine puffer but no turtles.  I guess they don't want us to leave just yet,

Later we went to Merrimans at Kapulua for our finale dinner,  This was an amazing four course feast overlooking Kapalua bay and the magnificent sunset.  A great way to draw our vacation in paradise to a close.

Off tomorrow evening back to Manitoba!
