We met everyone again in the lobby at 8 to start on our epic jurney to Shanghai and beyond!!
The jurney started with a bus ride back to the dock where we had gotten off of the big boat yesterday. instead of getting back onto the big boat we climber throught the two boats moored on the dock and waited for our form of transport to get us back to Yichang. It turned up 5 mins later in the form of a hydrofoil!!
We left the dock at 9 and started our jurney back. It was great!! A jurney that had taken us overnight and some more on the big boat took us all of three hours... The ride was smooth and relaxing... Except that the chinese have a great love of hucking and spitting on the floor and the two older men behind me have that down to an art!! it sounds so bad and i dont like the sound...
Arriving in Yichang we have the stars ahead of us. They are a long way up!! but this time there is a tram like thing that you have to pay to get in. I decided to take the excercise option as we have not done much in the last few days. At the top Ben, Jo and i had to wait for the others who had taken the lazy mans way up!! There we got on another bus to the airport where our plane to Shanghai waites. At the airport its normal checkin procedure Then on the plain for a short 1 hour flight to shanghai. Its then onto a bus (2 hours) that finally takes us to Hangzhou.
Its one of those days when i can say that we traveled by all of the forms of transport!! (i know except train but still its impresive!!)
Then we greatefully settle into more comfortable beds!! Hoping for a good nights sleep!!!
Took hydrofail boat back to Yichang, 3 hours instead of all nighta and afternoon
