The huge expanse of tumbling waters are split into 270 different falls, some enourmous and many smaller covering over 1.6miles, with the aptly named Garganta Del Diablo (Devils Throat) centrepiece creating huge clouds of mist rising a 100m and more high above the frothing waters. The sheer power of the falls is best noted by the deafening roar from the Devils throat and the surge of the water bubbling back to the surface after its 700m descent from the huge cascading horseshoe where water pours in from 3 sides.
Many of you will already know these falls from the famous Moonraker Bond film.
