Pink River Surfing

Day 3 Pampas yielded the most special experience any of us could have dreamed for. The aim was to find some Pink River Dolphins and then swim with them. I am very pleased to say that we found them and not only that but these intelligent and nosey creatures have a habit of nibbling on your feet when you get in the water with them. At one point I actually had one of these fantastic mammals on each foot and was able to surf on ones back for a short time while the other had nearly my entire foot in its mouth of sharp teeth. They are such gentle creatures this was the true highlight of Bolivia so far and had me smiling for the rest of the day.
Before saying goodbye to the Sunset Lodge we undertook some tree jumping and back flips into the alligator infested waters as a last bit of excitement preceding the long jeep ride back to Rurrenabaque. Once in the jeep time was passed with games that somewhat shortened the journey for the 8 of us.
