Not getting my fix of pyramids the previous day, I made a beeline for Túcume, a vast site of crumbling walls and pyramids that can be viewed from a cliff top mirador. The site was once the capital of the Lambeyeque culture and today is an active dig, though little has been found to date its gargantuan size boggles the mind. With such a large number of pyramids and plazas existing in one place, it must have been something else when packed with the hustle and bustle of daily life.
