Spent the previous evening chasing after the neighbors crazy mutt (Pelada). Mariana had agreed to look after her while the family went on vacation. Unfortunately The now aptly renamed Houdini had other ideas. She managed to wriggle free of her lead so we tightened it by making a new hole in the leather, so she just unclipped herself from the lead entirely thus we then tied her to a piece of rope instead only to awake the next morning and discover she had jostled the buckle undone and wandered into the night. Suffice to say she hadn´t got very far and we recaptured her on the field directly behind Mariana´s house.
Today was Carnaval day in the local town of Amarguaña so we squashed into Jorje´s Ax and started off for some festivities. We didn't get far before getting held up in the miles of other cars full of locals with the exact same intention and all this excitement proved too much for the poor little car. Half way up a short hill it conked out but after some clever bodgery we were back on the road only to have it happen again at the top of the hill, then to rub it in the battery died and we gave in. After and about turn and severe drilling back down the hill we had no more problems (seeing as all the traffic was in opposite direction we had a clear road home).
A quick refill of chicken n chips and milk for the wawa (which one is the baby i´m not sure) then we bumped the car once more before returning home for our own mini Fiesta. More thumbnails ...
