hello all
sorry it´s been so long since i wrote last.  i´ve kind of forgotten what we did a week ago, but i´ll try to remember.  let´s see, tuesday morning we got into mendoza and shopped around for tickets to santiago, chile the next day.  we decided to leave early so we´d have time to figure things out once we got there.  then ismael tried calling some hostels to get a room for the night, but everything was booked.  we finally found one that had a room, so we went over, dropped our things off and grabbed some lunch.  after a nap we headed out for dinner and to do some shopping.  our hiking gear and clothing were great for the backpacker look in small towns, but we really stick out in the city.  the next morning we woke at 530 to get to the bus station.  crossing the border was easy, except we had some cheese we´d bought in cafayate and the lady took it away and sprayed it with some weird purple stuff on it and threw it away.  stupid lady.  it was really good cheese.

We have been checking on the map to see where you are. What is in Mendoza and why go there? How was your time at the beach? No sunburn? It is well below freezing here, so enjoy it while you can.
