Here we are, 2 days before leaving on our big trip to Brazil, and we are so excited!  We are nearing the end of a long checklist of preparations and have been keeping busy visiting with friends and family before we leave.

Erin is a little nervous but mainly excited about her new adventures.  Having never been to Brazil, she has no idea what to expect.  I has answered all of her questions, but until she sets foot on Brazilian soil, sees the cities and beaches, meets the people, eats the food, etc... she won´t be satisfied.  She is nervous about being the giant white girl and not being able to understand or communicate.  Luckily, she´ll be travelling with her own private native tour guide.

I am thrilled to go to Brazil to see my family, to go to places that I´ve never been but to which I´ve always wanted to go, and to be on vacation for 8 months!  I am happy to show Erin some of my favorite places, to show her what a beautiful country Brazil is, and to show her the warmth and hospitality of the Brazilian culture.

Mainly, we´re ecstatic about going on an adventure, going anywhere we want to go, whenever we choose to go.
