From Tayrona, I bussed down to Barranquilla - birthplace of the glorious Shakira! But it's the wrong time of the week to be there - Monday night - so all is very dead and I left the next day to go down to Cartagena.
note to self (and all reading this) - Barranquillas carnival is rated the second best in the world - after Rio de Janeiro - so it's definitely worth a return visit - at the right time of year!
