Our time here almost over we headed up the coast in search of a few nice beaches, including one where you can dig your own hot pool. Put simply, the beaches here are amazing and this stretch turned out to be no different. Mile after mile of deserted sandy beauty greeted us by we decided it was hot pool time!

This area was busy but we decided to 'borrow' someone else pool, and boy was it hot!! We sat on the edge burning our toes for a while and then headed to the evocatively named Cath Cove. It turned out to be quite a walk away which of course we bitterly complained about! Once there though it turned out to be a pretty stretch of beach that was worth the effort.

Our final day in NZ was spent doing nothing but returning our car and heading to the airport, but we were able to reflect on what a good time we had had here. The people are great and the scenery spectacular. In fact almost every day in the car we marveled at some new site. Camping around the country was of course interesting experience and with the odd exception easier to sleep than I had thought.
