It was a true hideaway, pristine white sand, turquoise waters and with our bure (bungalow) right on the beach we could lie awake at night and hear the sound of the waves washing ashore, just feet from our bed.
After 10,000 km's driving around Australia and packing so much into a non-stop 9 weeks there, the relaxation was a welcome releif.
We've left Australia and spent a few days on Bounty Island, a remote island in the Mamanucca group in Fiji. Those of you in the UK that watched Celebrity Love Rival may be familiar with the island, it was the location of the film set. The resort was closed for 3 months and only re-opened 3 days before we arrived. The flim set was still there and walking around looking in the bedrooms, and seeing the camera runs was quite eerie with nobody around. What was especially weirs was thinking that millions around the world would have seen the show and there we were in the middle of nowhere wandering around it on our own. Unfortunately the pool hadn't been cleaned in a while and so there was a yukky green sludge on top of it. Needless to say we didn't take a dip!
