Since Swakopmund, we've left the desert and been through Etosha National Park on safari and have recently entered Botswana.

The weather here is very wet and humid as it's the middle of the rainy season. Complete contrast to everything so far. Sleeping in a soggy tent is quite an experience!

So far we've seen lots of animals on safari - giraffes, elephants, lions, warthogs, antelope and wildebeest.

We went into the Okavango Delta, a huge swampland where we spent the night camping on an island in the middle of nowhere listening to hippos grunting very close by throughout the night. To get there, we had to get on a mokoro (a canoe punted through the reeds) for an hour which Mark loved but I found a bit too scary - lots of mud, soggy wet plants and bugs!

We've now driven along the Caprivi Strip (look at the map - the narrow bit at the top of Namibia) and are heading through Chobe Park (more animals, including crocs and buffalo!) to Victoria Falls then down through Kruger Park to Johannesburg.

We still cannot put the photos on the site as the connection is very slow (via satellite phone) but are taking loads of good 'uns and will get them on as soon as possible.
