Touching down in Heathrow, London
Entry 2 of 16 | show all | print this entry |
So i arrived at Heathrow weary and a little confused. I got to sit right behind the wing and look out over the world as we left KLIA and arrived in London. From August 2 to August 5 i wandered around London, seeing the changing of the guards, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, checking out the National Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery, Harrods, Victoria and Albert museum, the British museum, practically everything one can do in London for free. What a great city. I was based in Paddington and just picked a direction and walked each day until i could go no further. I couldn't use public transport at that stage due to severe warnings from everyone back home. I had 4 nights in the hostel and woke at 5am on the Saturday morning to meet my bus tour and we took off for the white cliffs of Dover.
