After unpacking (thank God for birthday presents!) I managed a quick shower and shave and felt much better. Got directions to the local supermarket and got a few essentials plus beer for tonigh´t's meal.

Met up with all of the others and enjoyed a beer before my first Spanish lesson with Rosario. Enjoyed the beer but the girls prefer to drink Corona! At twice the price they can buy ther own!!

Spanish lesson was tough with no sleep! Talked about family and life in Wales. Had to stop after 40 minutes because I just lost my concentration too much! Dinner was ready anyway. We were joined by Teresa, our co-ordinator and Rosario. It was a delicious stew and there were a couple of chillies in it. I had been warned they were hot but decided to try one. Teresa had the other. To my horror I could only finish about two thirds of mine whilst Teresa finished hers no problem. Guess that's set a kind of challenge for me now!!

Up till about 1230 drinking and talking. Steph (? Not sure - must check on names!) is from Kansas. She tried to teach the others a song listing the US States in alphabetical order. She couldn't understand my confusion over the pronunciation of Arkansas! Anyway, David and I then tried to list the English counties in alphabetical order. We didn't do too badly but the girls went off to check on-line and found we had missed two!

Feeling far too tired to stay up any longer I got straight to sleep.....zzzzzzz
