Day 6 - Thursday

The boarders joined the beginner skiers for some games on the beginner slopes which included a South African ski snake, taken down by Tanya, and skiing/boarding through Neil's open legs, easier said than done... especially on a board!

The sun showed itself again on Thursday and provided some spectacular views from the top of the mountain. There was still plenty of powder to ride and we gained plenty confidence from this (its much softer to land in fresh powder than bashed snow) Poor Alex R took plenty abuse in the afternoon from both Alex L and Terry. (both were fined for friend bashing)

Jacqui had a kamikaze moment when she decided that she was tired of being held back and was put back into place but a very troubled but amused Stefan. Tash had an interesting hour or so whilst attempting a drag lift, falling off half way, hiking up the rest of the lift and then not finding her ski's so hiking all the way back down again. (Both Jacqui and Tash were later fined)

There was an hour of bumboarding which had been arranged for us. This consisted of us hiking half way up a black slope and sitting on a piece of plastic no bigger than a large pizza and sliding back down the slope on it! After initial scepticism the bumboarding proved to be a big success with chains being formed and many races taking place. Terry provided plenty of laughs with his antics which he was later fined for.

Terry and I decided to sneak a quick 5 minutes on Brenden ski's which was just a bad idea as we were starting from a black run! Terry proved far more successful at this than I did.... A hint for those of you trying... don't point you ski's parallel down the slope and lean back!!!

From the bumboarding we headed to the Bulgarian evening were we were served local food and drink and shown the video that Stefan had made of the beginner skiers. Our introductory drink was 75% alcohol and 25% petrol... horrid stuff it was! The idea of 2 chairs to the left every 30 minutes was introduced and proved fairly successful! Jax provided most of the laughter though continually thinking that it was her on the camera... (Fined)

Most retired relatively early though. Tired from a week of physical abuse and too much local beer and eager to get a good nights rest before the last day on the slopes.
