Where I stayed
Keanes Colony on Ocean Road

Up early and organised, car packed, and again we make the 45 minute journey over the 'hill' to the Happy Place for the Easter Hols

Turning up at T & M's place on Ocean Road certainly throws you straight into RELAX mode. The first thing we do is race up the stairs to say hello where we are promptly told to sit down and quickly thrust into our hands is an ice cold beverage!  Mmmmmm......

After that the car is quickly unpacked, beds made and fridge filled and then it is off down the beach to check out the surf, the sand and the talent!

Today the weather is overcast but very warm.  The ocean is churned up something good and there is white water everywhere and a distinctive saltwater haze!  But there are loads of people braving the rough and swimming out there.  The tides have been unusually high and there is little dry sand to sit on when the tide is full, hence all bodies dotted along the sand dunes.  The water is slightly chilly but warms up once you brave the initial toe dip.

Freya and I hung out for a couple of hours @ the beach - she getting more wet than I - We made our way along the beach to Access 10 where we wandered up the track and down the road before sneaking in thru the 'secret gate' (which isn't really so secret at all ;o)) where once again we sit down to another cold beverage!  Aahhhh this is the life!!

Larry and Andi are upstairs with their beautiful, energetic twin daughters, Charlotte and Maddison and Andi's lovely mum, Helen, is also staying with them.  Down the stairs are Marc and I and Freya and next door to us are Marie and Mike with their tribe of kids,  Aiden, Emily, Eddie, Ben, Georgia, Brylie and Kendall.  Upstairs of course, are our hosts, Tom and Maureen and I think Adam is floating around here somewhere too! Awesome crew!

After a relaxing afternoon, reading, drinking and yarning I get a quick dinner sorted for the little snapper and myself and after that we jump in the car with camera gear and head off to estuary for some long exposure practice.  It is an awesome evening and the last before 'daylight savings' finishes for another year.  The ocean is still rather wild but is an awesome emerald green colour and although the sky is rather flat and dull, I manage to get a good couple of shots done before darkness settled in.

Back in the car, I decide to take a look at the Wharf night life.  Unfortunately Freya falls asleep on the way there and I manage to get only a couple of shots as I don't want to wander too far away from the car.  The composition is a bit crap but I know just the place and angle I want to shoot, so will save that for next time - and there will be a next time!

I head back to the Bach, put Freya to bed, and settle down outside with the Crew for a few cheeky red wines.  Thomas is in good form and the red wine is flowing freely and rather fastly! LOL

Another day over in Paradise
