After 5 consecutive days where we were exploring a new port every day, today was our only day at sea.  We spent much of the day exploring the parts of the ship that we had yet to explore as well as spending way too much time at the buffet. In between the ship exploration and buffet stops, we were just lounging by the pool and relaxing. Today was the only day during the duration of the cruise where we had sun the entire day. This brought everybody out to the pool. Today we finally found the elusive rock climbing wall which we had been trying to find almost everyday. We watched a few people attempt to climb it and although I had good intentions of trying it out, I decided to not embarrass myself and just sat there in the heat and watched everybody else.

Tonight's final dinner was great. Up to this point, I had been enjoying the buffet more than the proper dinners. However tonight they were serving lobster!!! Lucca's wife was still not feeling well today so he came down by himself and we all enjoyed each other's company for one last time. After dessert, we took our photos together and wished each other farewell. Shea and I decided to just ham it up and take as many goofy photos throughout the ship. Having already packed and placed our suitcases outside our cabin by 8pm, we spent the late evening just hanging out at the Vortex club.

The next morning we left our room for one last time to have breakfast and just sit around waiting for our number to be called to disembark. It seemed to take forever to get off the ship and once that was done, we were in for another long wait to go through customs at the port in San Juan.  I was hoping to get my passport stamped here but they were just glancing at the passports and waiving everybody through. Not a single stamp in my passport during the entire trip, that kind of sucked!!! Finally, we gathered our luggage and headed straight for the airport for what was going to be a long day of traveling. Once at the San Juan airport, we had about 5 hours to kill before our 3pm flight to Fort Lauderdale. Nothing sucks more than trying to kill time at an airport. Our flight to Fort Lauderdale was only about an hour and a half and once we got there, we learned out flight to Dallas was going to be delayed by an hour. I was concerned that we were going to miss our connection to Los Angeles. Once we finally arrived in Dallas, we had to rush to make it to our gate for our connecting flight only to learn that our flight had been canceled due to weather. However, there was another American Airlines flight to Los Angeles that was scheduled to depart only 15 minutes later. So we had to rush to catch a tram that would take us to another terminal only to be put on a waiting list for the flight. This was a packed flight and we were one of the last people to make it on. My attitude towards American Airlines completely spiraled downward during this trip home. If our original flight to Los Angeles was canceled due to weather conditions, why wasn't this one? It just seemed really shady on the part of American Airlines. We finally arrived back in Los Angeles after midnight. It was a chilly 50 degrees which was such a shock on the system after experiencing 80 degrees plus for the last week.
