I know I'm running about 3497265092 weeks behind
on this thing, so I'm going to (hopefully) grace you
with at least another 3 entries or so tonight (:

So the Corn maze was amazing. It was gloriously confusing,
but there was no prouder moment than when I actually worked
out exactly where we were on the map. I was constantly yelling
updates such as 'we're standing in the F' or 'we're walking along
his eyebrow'. Though I feel the girls I was with we're really just
patronising me as everytime I actually successfully led us to a
checkpoint, they were all looks of surprise & murmurs of 'ohhh,
she actually DOES know where we are!'. Oh curse ye people of
little faith! It was ridiculously fun though. Almost got to smash a
pumpkin by throwing it off the observation tower as well, but no :(

After that was the amazing rush to get back to Arlington Heights
& on a train to make it downtown in time to see my first American
concert! It was Yellowcard, which in all honesty, I'd mostly agreed
to see them for nostalgia's sake, not realising the tour was for their
new album (that I hadn't even heard). Yet it was still so very good!
The opening acts were pretty decent as well, though mostly 'cause
Tatjana & I were ridiculously attracted to the first band's guitarist.

An attraction which was dulled a little when we actually met the band after the show. On stage, rockin' out with a guitar, shirt ripped & covered in sweat.. every girls dream. But standing at the merch table all wrapped up in a big woolen jacket, clutching his cup of tea & whinging in a croaky voice about the pains of touring with the flu.. yeah, not so much. Nonetheless, for a first concert (& for what little amount it cost us), it was magnificent! Went & showed the girls the famous & money-thieving (or 'bug'-stealing haha) Woodfield Mall the next day and spoke about the endless possibilities and plans for holiday trips. The abundance of amazing things to see & places to go will never cease to amaze me. Time to start saving!

All in all, couldn't have asked for a much better weekend!
