But the days keep getting busier & time just slips away.
Can you believe I'm going to be 19 in a week?!
But before I let myself be overcome with nostalgia & start tripping out about the cliche of 'where on earth has the year gone' & all that nonsense, let's change topics.
of TV's all blaring static or creepy recordings of our fearful selves (& were actually forced to retreat right back into the corridor when one was pushed towards us!). Mechanics who threatened us with their vast array of welding tools (from which the heat & sparks were all too real). A cage maze with crazies climbing over, across & even through the bars trying to reach us. A 'Big Top Gift Shop' in which they had us convinced we'd reached the end, before the wall opened up & we were bombarded by the most horrifying clowns I've ever seen (with all due respect to Stephen King, IT had nothing on these guys!). Then finally, after witnessing a chilling exorcism (in which the girl could literally rotate her head almost 180° clockwise), we were
on the home stretch (which included timidly stumbling our way through a junkyard populated with some horrifying variations on the Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) and Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) theme. Looking back I'm also quite amused at our little groups antics as we were going through, what with Nina falling over countless times (though not from fear, it was 'because of the shoes' HA), her friend Dominik who seemed to mutter 'scheiße' the entire adventure, & me being like those extremely irritating people who scream at the TV screen during scary movies, pointing out potential hiding spots, shouting 'don't go in there!' & 'LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!'.
Easily my favourite halloween activity thus far. (Though this weekend we've got a trip to the world's largest corn maze plus Fright Fest at SixFlags so I'll let you know if I change my mind!) Deliriously happy to be in a country that celebrates all of their holidays to such extremes! Due to the whole 'no camera' policy (& the fact that even if they'd been permitted, I'm sure I was shaking too hard to even consider taking photos!) I had to pull these photos off facebook. But nonetheless. Enjoy (:
