Thankfully we arrived in time to get a site but unfortunately this day is now marked in the record the lowest ever daytime temperature for the area..... yep it was colder than Tassie at 6.8 deg!!!!  We decided to have a catch up day and hang around the caravan park and rug up.... Oliver on the other hand is our social butterfly and made friends immediately with the two families parked next to us.  Alice took a little longer to befriend Jessie (4 years old) but soon as she did we were all gathering and chatting for the next 8 hours.... We shared a great night with lots of laughs........I think the laughing was to keep us warm!

We braved the cold weather the next day and ventured on a 3 hour walk up, around and down Kings Canyon with our new friends.  The kids were unbelievable,  as this was a 3 hour walk with lots of steep climbs.  I think this is going to be one of my highlights of our trip.  The views, colours, and awe inspiring nature was amazing. We finished the afternoon off with a Latte and homemade scones cooked in our Webber......yes I made them!
