On Sunday I got up, and decided I was going to do as much as possible. So I set off through Central Park and walked all the way down till I got to the end
. Then I walked along 5th Avenue, which was cool and glitzy, before going to look at the Rockefeller Centre. After that I had lunch in a cute little diner, with some delicious milkshake. Then it was time to do Times Square, which was full of bright lights and lots of people! Pretty cool. I walked to the Empire State Building, and went up that to see the view. It was fantastic. You can see for miles, and look out from every side, it's brilliant. Then I made my way to Grand Central Station and marvelled at the main hall. It's amazing, with this cool ceiling decorated with constellations!
Finally I made my way back through Central Park, but the other side, and sat and had a picnic dinner. I thought it was a nicer idea than sitting in a restaurant by myself, so I found a nice patch of grass, settled down, had my picnic and chilled for a couple of hours. Exhausted, I made my way back to the hostel and collapsed down, and started to finish writing this blog! New York is a nice city, I do really like it. However, I still think I'd rather be in a National Park somewhere!
Finally, the last part had arrived. I hadn't really been looking to New York, as it meant my trip was over, but I was determined to enjoy it anyway. I arrived pretty late on the Friday, and basically went straight to bed. On Saturday, I got up, and walked into Central Park which was three blocks from the hostel, after walking halfway down there, I decided to go to the American Museum of Natural History. I love natural history museums, and this one was no exception! They had some amazing exhibits. I loved the Hall of North American mammals! So much cool stuff, I spent hours and and hours there, and only left when it closed! Then I walked back through the park, and had dinner in a nice little Italian restaurant, although myself, which I still find embarrassing.
