After a big sleep we took the easy option of driving down to Brisbane with Guy and Marie in their hippy mobile circa 1980 rather than the 5am Premier bus. Happy to kick back and take a slow ride after running around Frasier island. Oh yeah and its my Birthday ! Had breakfast with Dom and Cat at Simply Wok - Dom I think still in recovery ??!!
Lovely laid back drive stopping of course at the giant pineapple which had sadly been driven out of business by the local Shell garage - what a travesty ! Then on through green and lush country all the way down towards Brisbane with lots of stories on route.

. Of course as soon as the bright lights of the big city approached so did those of the cop cars. Maybe just a combo of car, dreads and backpakers, oh and the number plate issue. Anyway it was like a full series of NYPD with us in the front row of the cinema. Unreal ! 2 cop cars and everything. Of course we were all terribly polite and the cops were very friendly too after they realised we weren't on the most wanted list. I'm sure they considered searching the bags but luckily for us and them (too much stinky dirty washing) they chose not to and we made it safe to our destination.Cheers for the ride kids !
