Itacare, Brazil Surfer Paradise!! check out www.itacare.com After getting the inside nod from Lisa´s friend, Pablo, we could hardly pass this place up. Even though we had just spent four days on the beach! Stayed in a tiny hotel called Pousada Itaoca (http://www.pousadas.itacare.com.br/pousadaitaoca/) that was perfect. Simple and 5 minutes form two beaches. And 8gbp a night. The couple that run it were very nice and helped us a lot! We hiked to the Prainha Beach -- a 40 minute hike through the jungle (passing 4 gorgeous beaches) to get to a totally protected and isolated beach. It is meant to be the best beach in Brazil. http://www.itacare.com/itacare/praias/guia.php?zoom=3&praia=prainha&force=〈=english Well, I don´t know about the best, but it sure was stunning!!!
The 12th we went to the closer Concha beach that had all of the bars and people practicing their Capoeria (brazilian dancing/fighting/gymnastics)right on the beach. A fantastic fish lunch made it perfect! -B More thumbnails ...
